On Queue ("the app," "we," "us") is built to work without an account, and to keep as little of your data off your device as possible. This policy explains what the app handles, what's optional, and what — if anything — reaches a server we operate.
On Queue does not require you to create an account. The information you enter into the app — ride logs, timed waits, favorites, character encounters, notes, and photos you attach — is stored locally on your device (and, if you use Apple Watch, on your paired watch).
If you choose to sign in with Sign in with Apple, On Queue can back up and sync your favorites, alerts, ride logs, and Moments (including photos) across your own devices. This sync happens through your personal iCloud account, in a private database only you can access — Apple's infrastructure, not a server we operate, and not something we have access to. Your Apple ID identifier and, if Apple provides one, the email address associated with your sign-in are stored on your device to remember that you're signed in; we don't transmit them to our own server. Signing in is entirely optional — the app works fully without it, just without cross-device sync.
If you set an alert on a ride (for example, "notify me when the wait drops to 20 minutes or the ride reopens"), On Queue registers your device for push notifications with Apple and sends our server — which we do operate — the information needed to deliver that alert: a device push token issued by Apple (not personally identifying on its own) and the specific park, ride, and threshold you set. We use this only to send the notification you asked for. No name, email, Apple ID, or account identifier is included. You can remove an alert at any time, which removes it from our server as well.
To show live wait times and park information, On Queue fetches data from these third-party services. These requests do not include any personal information about you or your activity in the app:
Separately, our own server periodically records the posted wait times these services publish, so we can eventually show how a ride's posted wait compared to how it actually moved. This history is about rides and parks, not about you — it isn't tied to your device, account, or any wait times you've personally logged.
Please review those services' own privacy practices for details on how they handle requests made to their APIs.
On Queue Pro is purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles your payment information directly — we never see or receive your card details. We only learn whether a purchase was successful, so the app can unlock Pro features.
If you choose to share a badge, recap, or rank card using the app's built-in share feature, an image is generated on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet — you control where it goes (Messages, Photos, social apps, etc.). We do not see or receive a copy of anything you share.
We're planning an opt-in way to contribute your own timed waits to a shared, crowd-sourced estimate for other guests, and additional Pro purchase options. Neither is active yet. Before either ships, this policy will be updated with the specifics — what's collected, how it's stored, and how it can be turned off.
On Queue is under active development, and features beyond what's described above may also be introduced over time. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs today; if that changes, this policy will be updated first to describe what is collected, how it's used, and who it may be shared with — check back here for the current version.
On Queue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app works without requiring an account, and the limited data our server does handle (push tokens and the alerts you set) is not personally identifying and is not used to build a profile of any user.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note them in the app's release notes.
